Governor Kotek Visits RootedHomes

Gov. Tina Kotek listens at a tour of an affordable housing development in Bend with RootedHomes. Speaking before a meeting of the Western Governors’ Association held this week in Bend, Kotek pressed attendees from New Mexico to California to Colorado to embrace “middle housing” — duplexes, triplexes and other options between single-family houses and apartment buildings. RootedHomes showcased their affordable housing community using the cottage cluster code which serves both low-income and middle-income residents.
